MOVIE REVIEW: INCEPTION by Sean Vargas on July 21, 2010 a 9:34 AM
I am not going to give a synopsis of the movie because I don’t want to sound like I know what I am talking about when I really don’t. All I can say is I am definitely going to buy Inception when it comes out on DVD, and will make sense of it on my own time. The basics of the movie are extraction is when you take information out of the mind. Inception is when you implant an idea into the mind. Inception also deals with dreams, and the subconscious which is right up my alley since I am in the psych field.
Inception is not a mindless movie which I really enjoyed. It did not insult your intelligence, as its only requirement was to try to let go and understand the layers between dreams, the subconscious, and reality. I say it lives up to the hype as the movie of the summer. Whether it will save the summer season is another question.
If you want to be intrigued by a movie that makes you think even until the end, a movie that is visually stunning, great action sequences, and sci-fi fantasy, Inception is the movie for you. Great job, Christopher Nolan. Now please, don’t let us down with the third Batman movie in your franchise that is due out July 20th 2012. Don’t let us down the way most threequels have failed. We are all counting on you.
